HomeGuide ("we", "us") turns home inspection reports into a prioritized,
plain-English action plan. This policy explains what information we collect,

Information we collect
- Account information — your name, email address, and account type (home buyer or real-estate professional) when you register.
- Inspection reports you upload — the PDF documents you submit for analysis, which may include the property address, photos, and descriptions of the home's condition.
- Property details — the ZIP code and property type you provide so we can tailor cost estimates.
- Payment information — payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card number; we keep a record of the transaction (amount, date, and Stripe identifiers).
- Usage information — basic technical data such as log entries and timestamps needed to operate and secure the service.
How we use your information
- To generate and deliver your inspection analysis.
- To create and manage your account, including confirmation and password-reset emails.
- To process payments and credits, including credits gifted by a real-estate professional to a buyer.
- To send contractor outreach on your behalf when you choose to request visits, and to route the replies back to you.
- To maintain, secure, and improve the service.
AI processing
Your inspection report is analyzed using third-party AI providers. The
contents of your report are sent to these providers solely to produce your
analysis. We do not sell your data, and we do not use your reports to train
public AI models.
Service providers
We share information only with vendors that help us run HomeGuide, including:
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Resend — sending and receiving email.
- Cloud hosting and AI providers — running the application and generating analyses.
These providers may process your information only on our behalf and under their own privacy and security commitments.
Data retention
We retain your account information and analyses for as long as your account
is active. You can ask us to delete your account and associated reports at
any time by emailing support@tryhomeguide.com.
Your choices
- You can request a copy of, correction to, or deletion of your personal information.
- You can unsubscribe from contractor-outreach emails using the link in any such message.

Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including
encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely
secure, but we work to safeguard your data and limit access to it.
Children
HomeGuide is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the
"Last updated" date above.
