Welcome to HomeGuide. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of HomeGuide's website and services (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service. Questions? Email support@tryhomeguide.com.

1. What HomeGuide does

HomeGuide analyzes home inspection reports you upload and produces a prioritized, plain-English summary with suggested next steps, estimated cost ranges, and optional outreach to contractors on your behalf.

2. Not a professional inspection or advice

HomeGuide's analysis is generated by AI for informational purposes only. It is not a home inspection, appraisal, engineering assessment, or legal, financial, or professional advice, and it is not a substitute for a licensed professional who has physically inspected the property. Cost ranges are estimates and may not reflect actual quotes. Always confirm important findings with a qualified professional before making decisions.

3. Your account

• You must provide accurate information and are responsible for activity under your account.
• Keep your password secure; notify us of any unauthorized use.
• You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.

4. Payments, credits, and refunds

• Paid analyses and credit packs are billed through our payment processor, Stripe.
• Credits gifted by a real-estate professional may be used to run analyses at no cost to the recipient.
• Because each analysis is delivered digitally and immediately, purchases are generally non-refundable — but if something went wrong, email us and we'll make it right.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Upload content you don't have the right to share, or anyone else's personal information without permission;
• Misuse, disrupt, reverse-engineer, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service;
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to send unsolicited or abusive messages through our contractor-outreach features.

6. Your content

You keep ownership of the reports and information you upload. You grant HomeGuide a limited license to process that content solely to provide the Service (including sending it to the AI providers that generate your analysis). See our Privacy Policy for details.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HomeGuide and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any decisions made based on the Service's output. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time by emailing support@tryhomeguide.com. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service means you accept the updated Terms.
